The civilians of Haddonfield
The developers of the upcoming Halloween game have released new details about the playable civilian characters set in Haddonfield. Rather than focusing on traditional heroes, the game puts players in control of ordinary residents whose lives are about to be turned upside down by the return of the Boogeyman.
The newly revealed cast, known as the Heroes of Haddonfield, includes a diverse group of civilians, each with their own background and personality. Characters such as Thomas Armitage, a college football player with strong leadership qualities, and Jennifer Aarons, a quiet bookstore employee saving up for college, highlight the game’s focus on grounded, human storytelling.
Other revealed characters include Tanya Harrison, a social and music-loving local who knows everyone in town, Rachel Calahan, a punk-loving mortuary student fascinated by death, and Marcus Navarro, a lone biker who values independence but fiercely protects those close to him.
According to the developers, these civilians are a key part of Halloween’s immersive horror sandbox. Each character will play a role in both the singleplayer and multiplayer modes, adding variety and replayability to the experience. More information about their gameplay mechanics and involvement is expected to be shared in future updates.
